Adult Lab Use Agreement

By entering my library card number and using this computer, I agree to follow the policies of the Huntington Beach Public Library and the Library Computer lab: 

I am using my own Huntington Beach Library Card.  (Library cards are not transferable)

I am 13 years of age or over.

I agree to limit my use of the lab to one hour per day.

I will not tamper with the equipment or exploit gaps in computer security.

I will view and display only sites appropriate to a public/educational setting.I will not use the Internet for any inappropriate use.

Inappropriate use, as determined by the library, will result in immediate cessation and or disciplinary action. Inappropriate use includes, but is not limited to:

1.     accessing, transmitting, uploading, downloading, or distributing pornographic obscene, abusive, or sexually explicit material or language;

2.     violating any local, state, or federal statute;

3.     vandalizing, damaging, or disabling the property of another individual or organization;

4.     violating copyright or otherwise using intellectual property of another individual or organization without permission;

5.     engaging in any activity that is harassing or defamatory.

All other library policies, whether or not explicitly stated here, are in effect.  I agree to use this facility in a responsible and cooperative manner.  I understand that to do otherwise may result in my loss of this privilege.
